Hey Nick new subscriber here, I'm considering purchasing a 2015 Macan S with 55k mi. Checked the car facts and it's being serviced regularly but noticed it hasn't had the oil leak issue yet. Do you think it's still a good vehicle to buy almost 10 years later or more of an avoid? I saw Porsche announce on their bulletin that it can be repaired in about a hour of work. I have a good mechanic but also work at a dealership so get roughly a 10% discount on repairs nothing crazy but everything helps. Thanks for your content P.S. I'd be getting the Macan for about $20k through my employer

Call it myth or differently spec oil, i own Mercedes with M272 known for pcv cover leak , in one i used liqui moly and other mobil 1, castrol, one with liqui moly high mile don’t leak, and other just leaks, and changed 3 pcv covers.

I am presently having my '07 911 turbo being fixed for the "dreaded" P0021 engine light. The repair is being done in CA, by whom I wont say, but he said the repair would probably be around 20K. Does that seem out of line or about right? Thanks Spike G

The internal of the transmission all are from an Audi DL501, all the floor, suspension are Q5! The 4 cylinder macan is a VW/ Audi EA888 gen3 2.0 turbo! How I know? I own one a Base 2.0 2018 macan! For transmission parts go to Audi, for suspension parts go to Audi, for engine parts go to VW on the 2.0! Bring your own part number because they are no going to help you! And remember Porsche part number with a PAK- are only re-packs from AUDI but double the price!

I would never want carbon ceramic rotors. For a street car, they are an unneccessary expense.

All Euro cars are junk, my advice, save your bank account, and downtime of owning a eurotrash car, and go Japanese. When you buy one of these german cars, you be on a first name basis with your euro mechanic if you don't have the time or knowledge to fix these yourself. Any euro car is like a Supermodel with a bad coke habit, they look good , wild, but nightmarishly expensive to keep happy.
